Blizzards be darned, I will continue to sit in my basement and play with my digital action figures, so just bring me the pizza bites and change my sheets, MOM!
hI'm kidding of course - no one with any hope eats pizza bites. I NEVER did, so that must mean I'm full of that little thing called hope. I was more of a ketchup and mustard sandwich type of person, which more than once prompted an exorcist to splash holy water across my forehead. Never did anything, so take that Pope!

Anyways, hi. I'm licking wounds and taking names, and I know everyone's name in my neighborhood (lie detected). The lesson here is never go out in ice wearing only slippers. They will earn their name.

Anyways again...what a month. What a year. What a hemi-decade. Now, we march on to 2026 with our hairs greying and hands hurting a little more, but the sun still shines and the moon still rises. Makes you think, doesn't it?

I'm saving my year recap that no one but me cares about until January. I'll save my introspection and hide-sight-ing for that particular barrage. So it's just you, me, and some nice filtered water right now.

December has been super cold and super productive minus some damn holiday breaks (Insert grumbling here). Holidays are great at breaking all sorts of strides in (mostly) positive ways, reminding us of the glowing faces we work for and the parasitic economy we attempt to navigate. I've taken that shift in energy into my very spirit this month, working on more personal projects as the days and weeks have limped towards the big ball drop.

This tale-of-two-halves starts with Project Cleaner finally being somewhere near playable. Everything moves and interacts where it needs to to make a demo feel representative. I'm moving into the style realm, but with that must also come the spooks, the creeps, and the jeeps (not Jeeps). I have a great lane in mind for the scares, but as with comedy, the timing is gonna be everything. That means tinkering, which means oodles and oodles of sunk time. Naturally, then, I abandoned it for the last two weeks of the month.

Instead, it's been WRITING TIME BA-BAY! That's right, that thing you wish you had time to do and I too wish I had more time to do now had time in which is was to be to-done! My basic philosophy was threefold in approaching the vast swath of Tiny Tim-esque breadline stretching out my To-Do list's door: make it ready, make it next, and make it feel.

Next year is when - I swear to Shaniqua from Indiana - so many projects will come together that I'll be overwhelmed in keeping track of the mild success I receive, and to make that happen, I need bullets ready to fire. Writing on a forever timeline is great and all, but I've had success before. I've had success recently. being patient to let things bake is a tool I've worn down to the nub. Time to become a gunslinger again.

With that in mind, I now have a handful of various script types ready(ish) for the big time. I plan on passing them out with some immortality elixir to see who bites, then moving on to the next layer and the next and the next. What has come out of my brain slip-n-slide this month has felt inspired and girthy. It's very soon the time to find out if their a big enough caliber to make an impact.
Elsewhere has come a general sense of refinement. IProject Cube saw a brief rip of the entire battle system, and I'm roughly halfway through replacing it at a functionality level. Sometimes, the breadth of my ideas gets a little whack-o for a single person with a massive **** to realistically bring to life, and I've moved past the "that sucks" stage into the "then f*ck it" world. That one's great, trust me.

Remembering that from which all thanks are derived is nice, so I'll say it here and loud: thank you Adam, thank you Eve, thank you sexy-snake Lucifer, and thank you crazy all-knowing apple that caused the first break-up in human history. I'm sure all that is canon. Santa told me so, and his name hasn't come up a single time in the Epstein files. Yet.

See y'all in 2026!
