Every so often, you wiggle. Then, you jiggle. Then, before you know it, everyone's inventing new realities of dance and ethical non-monogamy.
Every month being about 34 hours long is becoming a bit of a problem. How am I supposed to entertain both of my secret families, come home to do the dishes, AND get everything in the world done in that time? I already sleep in the shower - don't make me miss pancake hour!

Alright, syrup-based sugar high has worn off.

Twas a month of plumping. Sweaty, slurpy, grindy pipe-laying on the level not seen since the first arrival of a sexy plumber at a single woman's door was put to the internet. This household maintenance covered the kingdoms of writing, game making, and audio shows.

Let's start with the most interesting - writing. There was a decent stretch of belly-drag happening on a specific script re-write, so I decided to do the impossible...ly simple other option: I started six scripts at once. Relax, government, it's just the first 10-ish pages per in order to see which one is vibing best. My eyes and others are combing through, calling one more exciting/boring/sexy than the rest, and I'm sure I'll make a decision soon-ish after I disregard all other opinions (/s).

Next, vidya games. These little bastards have been coming along quite well with Project Cube taking the lead as far as major systems entering rough draft 2 state. That means the minor tweaks are ready to begin for most of the ones I'd want for a demo. I find myself bug squashing more and more often, which is definitely a good sign that the larger chunks of cement are drying well. The next challenge will be starting the visuals because this bad-boy in the making looks, well, like this:

So...yeah, not quite public-attention-grabbing ready.

Virtually every other video game idea I've had that's reached a conceptual stage was also dusted off this month. Through what some scientists are calling a miracle, I took one idea and said "hey, but what if this...goes with this...?" Not since peanut butter and chocolate taught us to love again has such a beautiful union come to pass. That, hilariously, has me back on track with my original insane idea of having two games demo-done this calendar year. Now I have to decide which of the three I love less so I can throw them in the closest...

Finally, there's the audio show production, which is...going. Honesty filter on, there's nothing more tedious in my day-to-day than putting SFX to a fight scene, rebalancing audio, and/or scratching at my window, longing to feel the sunshine again. It all amounts to hunting atoms with tweezers, which is fun when you're a wide-eyed rookie. Coming into episode 15 for Panoramic, I'm seasoned and grizzled. Three days from retirement, one might say. Regardless, there ain't no stopping now - and the new scripts for the new show are bouncing right along at a speed somewhere near ludicrous.

So, what's not pumping along, you may ask? Well, outside projects have been on a dead-stop. Exercise and fresh air dipped as well this month. Self-care has never been in my top 10 priorities of life, so part of me wants to just "whatever" this away, but I'm also aware of the gypsy woman's hex she put on me. I cannot become a lizard. Not yet.

TLDR, most doing well, expect more balance, do more stuff. I'm nearing the "can I just see something finished, please?" step of accepting a deal with Satan, so let's see what we can do for that in August, shall we? May you stay melded and moist in the meantime.
