March was the slower leg of the race where many Taco Terror, Panoramic, and general decency fans could take a bathroom break and visit the concession stand. YOU'RE WELCOME!
I don't know, person, do we really, as a species, think black pepper is worth all this trouble? Salt hits your tongue and lights go off. Black pepper hits and someone gets evicted. Just seems unfair to even have it at the table at this point.
And that's a window into what my projects have been doing this month: "I'mma start this - WAIT, do horses know when Easter is!? I must search!" That's dramatic - obviously I don't give a f*** about horses at all and neither should you - as several things did get done this month, just on a decidedly slower outside track. Looking back on my to-done list, I see that I'm at the bottom of another mountain range (a.k.a. new projects are starting, not many are finishing). This includes both new games still slated for this year and...not much else new new. Everything else on the docket is old and/or evergreen...like this!
Yes, those little bastards take a decent amount of time and effort to put together, which is still worthwhile even as no one in the world seems to care about them. When/if anyone catches wind that I/this internet shack exists, I'd like for them to have a decent amount of dumb-ery to sift through. Early starts grab early worms, right?
Panoramic marches forward in all phases like an admirable, lute-playing flag-bearer on a battlefield. The positive feedback through various messages and comments has been lovely to see. I'm coming to the end of the written journey of the series, which will be my second time finishing the whole arc, and I'd like to avoid a third if possible/say how lovely it's been to refine old writing. So often, you put something down and never, ever have a reason to finish it and/or re-finish it. I have now, so that's nice.
So the games of video, the 'active' in 'interactive', the whiz in your cheese - both of them are pushing along at a decent little clip of a handful of tasks per day. It's a measuring cup scoop to move a mountain of flour, but we just keep scoopin'. The first (read: to be finished first) is an idler idea I've had for all of three weeks. The code chord I want running throughout is "end of work day fresh" - you know, that anticipation of five minutes from now when you're free mixed with the anxiety of your project at hand? And this game won't even require you to lie to the intern about those "red wine" stains in your jacket!
Game two is something I've hinted at before reborn - whacky, sexy, and fun - mixed with a much larger idea I've never even breathed out of fear of Sauron's forces. The current idea is that there's going to be pirates in it as well, which is the most PG level thing I can tell you about it. Jazzed to find an insanely-perverted artist to run with me on this one... And yes, as you'll notice, I started with clams and in the end, I finished by...clamming up. CHARACTER ARC!
