Just don't care? Life teetering like a cart on a coaster made of straws? Attempting to work out those shoulders for your Gaston cos-play? HANDS UP HIGH!
Oh sweet May, how you've left me so. It's been a humbling month to say the very least full of difficult decisions and whichever deity you believe in - which is totally the correct one btw - finally decided it was time to test me and mine for our Sanity Certification (TM). Took longer than is usually does this year - thanks, Government!
The project train was slow and down-right stopped for a pretty large chunk of the month. The largest movement took place on the writing side with the conclusion of a full season's worth of rough-drafting for the upcoming radio show with some flashes of other writing projects. Weaving in and out of those feels particularly difficult right now just because of the vastly separate tones. On one side, I'm aiming for a teen-aged comedy-venture. The other? Psychologically-warping look at the word and the side effects of self-inflicted guilt. So, you know, jarring.
Watch it while you can, eyes! This Sunday will be the last of the fun little shorts for a while. Must recoup some time for projects and/or knitting fine hirsute ski masks. Must find time to make trailers for games. Must find time to enjoy air conditioning and other comforts before entropy rips them away from me again.
Speaking of the ol' vidya games, there was some slight progress on all that this month. Project Cleaner is moving....inching forward since I decided to up my ambition level for the demo. The new level I'm adding isn't going to be complicated, but I think it's fairly necessary to establish the overall mood. Once I get past the physics and collision problems I'm running into, I'll have some more gasoline to spit into that intake valve. That'll be about that. I truly hope this next month has much more forward momentum, and the demo(s) are finally feeling better if not finished enough to play. Maybe the reason my hands are in the air this month is the hope we feel along the way after all. And he lived happily ever after. Into the sunset. On a very brave little goat.
