With the invention of wax on came the inevitable invention of wax off. Come see how Panoramic, Taco Terror, scripts of all shapes and sizes, and a healthy-ish social life have led tot he downfall of what I t hought this year would look like.
Look, we all grow and change. 2024 has taught us...something, and I'm going to use that as an excuse to my distractions. I enjoy seeing things bounce on string like a cat with very sharp claws but is also drunk and sees, like, three bouncing balls.
That's not to say I've not been productive this quarter/year. In fact, this is shaping up to be the most productive year I've ever, in a million years, had, and a part of that is the last quarter being the most productive quarter in my eternal life. Well, I guess helping with the Big Bang was rough, but I out-sourced a lot of that to a third party: God Inc. Didn't even want to be paid, nice *gender deleted*. For those three paragraphs in and completely clueless, I do my best to go off this year-to-year list as to what I'm going to accomplish. I make it every year in Jan, post it, then apparently do everything I can to avoid keeping that tacit "promise" by doing whatever the hell I want. It's a little more complicated than that, but the results are the same - things done, yes, but checklist done, no.
The largest casualty of changing priorities has been the web-based mystery game. That bad boy has gone through every variety possible in my head before finally landing on what it will be by the end of this year. The mystery game has been completely abandoned while doing other things, so that'll come back up again next year, and Tac Terror's full release is now six months away. Take that calendar!
What I'm super happy to have hit is the writing competitions - multiple - which I'll be entering even more of this month. I didn't have all of the ideas I'm even using now at the beginning of the year and the fact that I prepared for the eventuality of my idea shrapnel is encouraging. Panoramic has gone off splendidly in the alter half of this year with 8-ish episodes going to be released by the big 2025 ball drop. I would love the audience to swell there as well as the love/hate to make some adjustments. I do love me some venomous feedback.
This last quarter is going to be an absolute wave pool of ups, downs, and pee spots to wade through. There's some bitter work to be done on Taco Terror and Panoramic, but the Youtube stuff will be congealing nicely in the next 4-6 weeks. I'm shipping it from anywhere circa 1995. Remember when Amazon was a force for good in this world? Our memories keep us warmer than any blankets ever could.
