Today is a sermon offering forgiveness, ten-or-so lashes, some sort of dessert to be determined, and a spritzer of redemption. Strap yourself into that pew and get ready to rock!
FIRST OF ALL - a quick apology for last month. Thinking on it afterwards, no, of course I didn't feel like doing it, but part of why I do all this chatting into the void is to make it entertaining/worthwhile for you to click away. So, this one's gonna be extra long to compensate! Karmic balance!

TWO - how are things? Specifically, your back okay? How many spots on it are currently either tingling or aching? My high score is three, set this very month. I look forward to a long, restful losing streak very, very soon, but I'mma be a winner for another week at least...!

THREE THROUGH FORTY-TWO - moving has begun to taper out of my daily ritual like teeth-brushing and vegetable consumption. The first...most of the month was nothing but lifting, organizing, learning how to fix crappy past mistakes, and fighting a rather heated wildlife war. Insects here, there, and everywhere have been knocking on my every portal hoping to teach me all about the Word of God, but papa was NOT into the gospel. Luckily, I live somewhere where it gets cold. I look forward to a victory by default.

But blah, blah, blah, no more house complaining. Panoramic is coming up to a thrilling conclusion to Season 2 rather swiftly, and Season 3 will be it. No more, damn it! By then, it'll be time to move on to braver, bolder, tangier territories. Even so, I've enjoyed seeing positive reactions to middle episodes where most audiences would peel away. Views across the several channels have become consistently okay, and that's not bad at all for how little I put into actually tossing that hat into rings as I pass by.

I mentioned last month that I'd be introducing some of the other projects this month, but I'll meet you in the middle and introduce one. Codenamed Project Cleaner, I think it's time to talk about a charming little horror game about generational trauma.
Picture
Cleaner is another gooey idea that's picked up other loose ideas as its crawled along, becoming now an official "medium" on the size-o-gram. The elevator pitch is fairly straight-forward: A 90s girl has to face the pain of her family name that built an empire on very dark ground. No, not coffee grounds. No, not that show Empire - stop guessing!

Some horror checklist items are unavoidably present - first-person perspective, tight house to navigate - but I really like the idea of filth as a horrifying concept. It's everywhere, isn't it? Dirt, dust, smudges, food, grime...for some people, it eats away at them to clean it. To rid it from reality. To become addicted to Dawn dish soap and those wretched Swiffers. The third design axiom I want to follow revolves around soft things - the end goal for so many at the end of the day.

For those keeping track at home, generational trauma, filth, and softness are the key words here. Nothing odd about that, right?
Picture
Gameplay will have a navigational puzzle focus (how do I get from A to B with tool C?). The hope is a tight experience centered around this house that's been here for generations will make you feel the DNA you're trying to fight. I also have a very special little collectible payoff that I (REDACTED) inside your (WOW, JUST CENSRORED). Very much looking forward to that.

Right, what else is there...oh! Project Cube is rumbling forward very nicely again as my 1-A focus. Again, that one kinda needs steady progress if I want the full thing done before the sun explodes. Then there's project 2-C - another game - that is falling a little further behind from an "in-engine design" standpoint. Most of that has to work on paper before it can make that journey, so more to come there.

And so, demos - three of them - this year, huh? Well...yes, that's still the goal, and I haven't give up yet. I do think it'll be a behind-the-scenes completion that I shoot for with Steam pages going up as kinda the representation of life. Many, many threads are ready to come together for Cube and Cleaner, and that's starting to get a little exciting if nothing else.
Everything else ahs officially fallen into the "do it only if it's still fun" category for now, but that does mean shorts, writing, and more are still being done in...I hear it's called "down time".  I've been spreading around tasks to others via the popular cash-for-labor practice that's all the rage. Celebrate this slight adjustment to my life with me!

Coming into the last two f*cking months of this endless/not long enough year, I have lots to do. Mail to check. Trash to bag. Bugs to build a memorial for. After all that, won't I just feel amazing if I can look up and see the end of a great many tunnels at once!? Forward into November and whatever battlefields she may bring - CHARGE!!!!!
