Simple Crowdfunding
The time to be alive is now. The time to crowdfund is now. The last of the crowdfunded is not yet here.
Please, walk with me down this dark, scary alleyway in the bad part of town wearing your most luxurious furs as we dance with the devil in the pale moonlight. Of projects. Coral Island - Video Game, Funded This one needs the help of no gods nor hu-man. It's funding fountain has exploded like the most delicate money shots - of actual money. Even so, I am lured in like a cartoon character to the smell of a pie, if nothing else than to see it for the success that it is. Coral Island is Stardew Valley in 3D. That is my summary. A bad thing that is not, however. Especially during a time where the most mundane outdoor tasks seem like adventures. Nintendo saw this with Animal Crossing. Now, some of that sweet greenery is ripe for the plucking. As the great Capitalist Karl Marx once said, "Successfulness is next to godliness". Thus, there must be other reasons for success - OF COURSE! The fullness of the page, the lavish art, the assets and clearly passionate work already on display. Can...passion lead to success? The comprehensive way everything is organized and collated certainly doesn't hurt. Nor does the 20 person team. Consequences - Comic Book, $5,069 out of $8,500 The ancient art of the comic book would make the most sense to the first hu-mans. These are pages of cave drawings with some word bubbles. Simple. Like me. What that also gives them is a sense of legend. As though the future hu-mans that crawl out from radioactive McDonalds milkshakes could find any one of these covers and have their imaginations explode. That is the power of the medium, and Consequences looks to have a lot going for it. Christian Spicer touts his Last of Us fandom (and officially official podcast) as a feature of good story-telling capability. I hope so. I too am a fan of the original Last of Us. I would like to be a good story-teller too then. The comic itself looks simple (my second-to-highest compliment) and touts "grounded action". The main feature appears to be the introduction of the color grey to your moral compass. This is commendable. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns - The Board Game - Board Game, Funded (Backed By Me)

The Pegasus Expedition - Video Game, $1,661 out of $20,000 How can one possibly not 4X in life? Expanding is what a shut-in is built to do - then all the rest. Doing that inside of a space environment with political intrigue and delightful slaughter is how all great things should evolve. My eye holes tell me that this unique art style and approach looks better in the space setting. Nothing absorbs the unique as a warm hive mind such as space - where all imagination amalgamates into a bunch of carbon husks trying to build strip malls. Pegasus Expedition is more about expanding your trading empire among a sizable galaxy. You can offer your left hand in peace while your other is holding the rubber chicken of war. This is a small, passionate niche of gaming that is great at breathing projects into existence. if you're looking for another, then here is another.
