Pinball is not a game for God's domain. Demon's Tilt knows this and asks me to pursue the game of the devil. Come see how happy that makes me. The art of pinball is sensual. It is guttural. It is silky. It is a flame upon my-- My hand is burning. I, as a hu-man, don’t agree with this. Demon’s Tilt, on the other hand, has my agreement. This is pinball at its most pinball - a single ball that shoots hither and yon without remorse. But oh look, you have demons in your board - who cares? The ball has destroyed them, thus climbing the high score board. For you that remember the SAT: Pinball is to life as (bleep) is to (bleep). I apologize for the (bleep). When I talk about pinball…. (low groaning sound). Demon’s Tilt has lovingly hideous tables that remind one of old PlayStation One enemies and designs. In a good way. Seriously, there was no filter on the heavy metal savagery of enemy designs in early 3D graphics. Those people should seek help. The single table is vertical, layers of alluring demonic album covers waiting for you to smack them in the face with a large ball bearing. Though there is only one space, there is still variation in the demon faces you’ll be dodging and grimacing towards. Sonic Spinball taught me to always be ready with flipper action, and here we have some of the best. It is one of the first actions many of us had in arcades or at home - the flick of the pinball table flipper. It is as satisfying as the first potato chip. Even as patting your best doggo friend on its head. Even your first, clean kill-- Hm. I said nothing. Let’s flip to another topic now. Joke received. Please allow for three to four days for laughter delivery. Demon’s Tilt grades you like a judgmental nun as well, bringing scrutiny to your every combo and multiplier. BUT WAIT There’s also an intense layer of bullet-hell destruction that makes boss battles a desperate grasp for score and extra balls. The soundtrack revs up like a micro-racer before taking off like a mono-inspired race car that blazes in left-turns so sharp it just creates another extra ball for you to add to your demon hunting weapon of choice. The demonic armies of hell haven’t seen this intense a look since someone parked the Doom Guy into a back corner when he was on his way out of a farmer’s market-- I have--
NO WAIT This is my (bleep)! I swear to lord satan herself, there is nothing more simple and nourishing as a silver ball splashing against something so hard that a number pops out. The music thumbs in your very heart with the simplicity of it all slamming your head back and forth more than a hair band. Duh-duh,duhnuhnuhnuh, duh-duh-nuhnuhnuh, babewdeblebew-- I do not have a problem. Demon’s Tilt is a simple, fun time with a timeless concept. I give it three (guitar riffs) out of four (guitar riffs). You...are welcome.
