Several stars align at once in order to bring about the apocalypse of Taco Terror, a new radio show, and even some honest-to-God writing being done! The party at the end of the world will be the best one ever, right? All the best and worst of humanity slapping together, moistly, dressed in clothing made of periodicals from before they were even born for some reason. At the end of it all, when the countdown is down to a sliver of seconds, the final pineapple ever is cracked open and shared between everyone you want to meet you on the dusty roads of Valhalla. That's more or less how I've celebrated the culmination of several project checkpoints at the same time. Here's the rundown of the beatdown of the down-low latest: Taco Terror's Demo Has Released! - I did a lengthy post on the game's content last...week? Who can say - anyways, the demo for the game is officially up and downloadable. Check out the direct link from the "store" page. Panoramic Episode 1 Audio Is Up - This is a dramatic radio show that me and several friends put together after I dusted off one of my old scripts. More on this below, but if you have 30 minutes and need a little dramatic, comedic, and super-heroic boost to your day, hop over to SoundCloud for a free listen/download. There will be a video version coming with some wonderfully time-consuming ideas in the works, but that will be a ways off for a ways. Writing! Glorious Writing! - Two television scripts and one movie script are hereby entered into competitions of various shapes and sizes. More on this below as well. First off, the Panoramic first episode coming out is an extremely long-term con on myself from myself. This was the comic book series that initially had be striking out to become my own destroyer of worlds. I have a 3-5 episode run planned as a hook into the water to see how it all feels by the end of the day. This isn't something I necessarily want to make money off of but the effort-to-reception quotient does have to at least break even. And that doesn't even account of negativity versus positivity; just having ears take it all in is enough for me at this point. The writing competitions are very much more interesting to me. The movie script is finally complete after several iterations and really losing the thread on the ending a time or two. The action and world-building took up too much space and left nothing for the characters, which tends to be the opposite for me. Anyways, I sanded off some corners and finally got it to a good point. I'm not exactly hyper-loving of every sentence (the old, "what if I changed this one thing...?" syndrome hit as soon as I submitted), but the core is electricity, the dialogue feels dynamic and quick, and I think that's worth a more official review. Writer's Block has been through the ripper 6 times at this point, looking and reshaping into something somewhere between corporately-viable and original. That's the one that's probably "readier" to find screen near you and would be very happy to have it in a finished state. Rounding out this trip is an expensive series about odd machinations in a desert setting about warring factions where the hero never stops running. Seriously, this'd be VERY expensive for a TV show, and who could even run that much? Who would have the desire, moxy, and endurance to just run, run, RUN!? The dreams we only dream will never come true...
